Join us and be part of something bigger.

We have paved the way for excellence in Integrated Care and in July 2016 took the  pioneering step to form one of the first Integrated Care Organisations.  We now provide adult social care services alongside our established healthcare services, which has given us the chance to develop better, more joined up ways of working that deliver improved outcomes for the local community.

Applications are invited for a Physician Associate Band 6 post in Urology; at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust is a large teaching hospital in the North West of Greater Manchester, with an established ‘Advanced Practice Workforce’ and a programme of Advanced Practice training and development; including being actively involved in the North West Physicians Associate Programme. Physicians Associates are an integral part of the Trust’s workforce strategy thus new posts have been created in a range of clinical areas suitable for PAs in their first year following qualification, for 12 months fixed term. The post will provide opportunities for the PA to establish their clinical practice, developing both generic and specialty specific competencies. Assigned Educational Supervision will be aligned to the post providing structured supervision and appraisal; supporting professional development.

All applicants must hold as a minimum a PG Diploma in Physician Associate Studies from a recognised University and have passed the UK Physician Associate National Exam.

Applicants will be required to register on the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) Managed Voluntary Register (FPMVR) before commencement of employment.

In line with the Trust’s Single Equality Scheme we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, religion, marital status, social back ground or trade union membership. However, as members of ethnicity minority groups and individuals with disabilities are currently under-represented at this level of post, we would encourage applications from members of these groups. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
