Join us and be part of something bigger.

We have paved the way for excellence in Integrated Care and in July 2016 took the  pioneering step to form one of the first Integrated Care Organisations.  We now provide adult social care services alongside our established healthcare services, which has given us the chance to develop better, more joined up ways of working that deliver improved outcomes for the local community.

This is a newly developed post required to support and develop radiology services based at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT). We would encourage any interested candidates to contact the Directorate management team for further discussion.

You will join a supportive and welcoming team of Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners, Consultant Radiologists, Specialty Trainees and a Specialty Doctor.

You will provide independent plain x-ray reporting and will also have management responsibilities; leading a team of 5 x-ray reporting radiographers and providing professional leadership for the radiographic team. A recognized axial and appendicular skeleton reporting qualification is essential and it is desirable that a chest reporting qualification can also be demonstrated.

You will be appointed as a Band 7 or Band 8a depending on the reporting qualifications held. Axial and appendicular reporting is essential and if chest reporting skills have not been developed; training will be supported following appointment. On completion of any required training needs, the role will be banded at 8a.

Individual flexible working arrangements can be considered and we would encourage candidates to discuss directly with the Radiology Business Manager.

This job description is intended to cover the main points of the post only. Applicants are invited to enquire regarding any point(s) about which they may be unsure.
