Salford Royal Foundation Trust is a regional major trauma centre and is at the centre of an exciting redevelopment of trauma care, providing acute trauma services across the whole of Greater Manchester.

Ward B5 is a 17 bedded mixed sex ward. The ward offers a dynamic environment caring for a wide range of complex poly-trauma patients from across the region with a wide range of injuries including neurological, spinal and orthopaedic. The unit is supported by a large multi-disciplinary team from a variety of specialities working together to deliver high quality care to patients.

The nursing team are supported by the Trauma Nurse Consultant along with Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a team of Trauma Coordinators.

We are looking to recruit nurses with a passion for delivering high standards of care to all patients.

You will need to be able to:-

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills;
• Aspire to deliver excellent standards of care ;
• Be able to work collaboratively with all members of the MDT.
• Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients and their relatives

You’ll receive a full induction programme, benefit from classroom-based training and clinical skills assessments. Newly qualified nurses will also benefit from our 12 month preceptorship programme supported by our dedicated Practice Development Team. You will also receive support from our senior nursing team and highly specialised nurses.

If you are a newly qualified nurse we will pay your first year's NMC registration fee as well as paying you at Band 4 until you receive you NMC PIN.
