Join us and be part of something bigger.

We have paved the way for excellence in Integrated Care and in July 2016 took the  pioneering step to form one of the first Integrated Care Organisations.  We now provide adult social care services alongside our established healthcare services, which has given us the chance to develop better, more joined up ways of working that deliver improved outcomes for the local community.

Would you like to join a progressive, successful organisation, which has been highlighted as a Trust with an excellent track record in nursing care and is leading the way for hospitals across the country.

The Medical High Dependency Unit holds SCAPE status achieved through successful nursing accreditation and assessments, providing high standards of care to all our patients.

The unit provides level 2 care (HDU) to medical patients presenting with acute conditions such as respiratory failure requiring respiratory support using non-invasive ventilation and patients with Acute and chronic Renal failure requiring renal management and haemodialysis on a day to day basis.

We are looking for a motivated Qualified Nurse who can demonstrate the relevant clinical skills and personal drive to ensure our commitment to delivering high standards of care which is achieved through evidence based practice.

You will have a minimum of 1 to 2 years post registration experience in an acute environment and be able to work as a team member and an independent practitioner, adhering to NMC code of conduct. Good communication skills are essential. HDU experience, experience of managing patients on dialysis and a critical care qualification would be an advantage.

You must be willing to undertake further training as this will be an essential part of the role and be flexible to complete the 24 hour rotational shifts from days to nights.

In return you will:-
Be developed by dedicated training professionals. You’ll have access to a wide range of learning opportunities and state of the art facilities, including seminar rooms, an IT suite, a library, skills labs and an on-site simulation suite. You’ll also have access to CPD to help take your career in the right direction.

Be supported to develop the competence and confidence you need as an effective, independent healthcare professional. You’ll receive a full induction programme, benefit from classroom-based training and clinical skills assessments. Newly qualified nurses will also benefit from our 12 month preceptorship programme supported by our dedicated Practice Development Team. You will also receive support from our senior nursing team and highly specialised nurses.

In addition to your Band 5 Salary you’ll be rewarded with a variety of salary sacrifice schemes, a wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives, flexible working and an on-site nursery. You’ll also enjoy a working environment that’s every bit as good as the care we provide.
