Join us and be part of something bigger.

We have paved the way for excellence in Integrated Care and in July 2016 took the  pioneering step to form one of the first Integrated Care Organisations.  We now provide adult social care services alongside our established healthcare services, which has given us the chance to develop better, more joined up ways of working that deliver improved outcomes for the local community.

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust aims to be the safest organisation in the NHS through providing safe, clean and personal care to every patient, every time. We are an integrated provider of hospital, community and primary care services, including the University Teaching Hospital.

The busy Aseptic unit prepares products such as:-
• Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
• Cytotoxics
• Monoclonal antibodies
• Enzyme replacement therapy
• Antibiotics
• Antifungals
• Antivirals
• Clinical Trials
• Injections requiring complex dilutions and calculations

There is an exciting development opportunity for an exceptional Aseptic pharmacist to undertake the role of the Deputy Aseptic Services Manager providing maternity cover for 12 months.

You will work in partnership with the Director of Pharmacy to ensure safe, effective, economical and timely pharmaceutical care for all patients receiving a pharmaceutical service from the department.

You will assume responsibility for the quality management aspects of the service and be involved in the supervision of work in Pharmacy Aseptic Services, thereby ensuring the safe and effective provision of an Aseptic Service.

You would be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all quality assurance systems and be expected to deputise for the Aseptic Services Manager in their absence. You would act as named professional for Quality Control on the MHRA’s Manufacturer’s (Specials) License.

The post is temporary for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

In line with the Trust’s Single Equality Scheme we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, sexual preference, disability, nationality, religion, marital status, social back ground or trade union membership. However, as members of ethnicity minority groups and individuals with disabilities are currently under-represented at this level of post, we would encourage applications from members of these groups. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
