The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest acute trusts in the UK, with 4 hospital sites - Bury, North Manchester, Oldham and Rochdale. We provide quality driven, responsible and compassionate care and believe our Trust Values underpin everything we do.

Across the 4 sites the Dietetic Department employs over 50 staff including dietitians, assistants, admin and support workers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated dietitian to join our team of paediatric dietitians. The post holder will be based at Rochdale Infirmary and will be part of a community team with a band 7 paediatric dietitian and another band 6 paediatric dietitian with paediatric dietetic assistant support.

The clinical workload will include covering community enteral feeding, general clinics and will cover one of our special schools. The team has excellent working relationships with other AHP and nursing colleagues. The post holder will cover a joint feeding clinic with a speech therapist. You will have the opportunity to work with the specialist children’s weight management dietitian and will cover children’s specialist weight management clinics.

You will be part of a team of 12 paediatric dietitians working across all 4 sites. The post holder will be supported by the paediatric team, with regular team meetings and clinical supervision.

The departments are established as trainers for A, B and C placement dietetic students each year. You will be actively involved in student training and the training of other health professionals, as required.

Participation in CPD is actively encouraged and we are fortunate to have a departmental CPD budget.

The Trust has excellent IT facilities and is in the process of developing an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. Candidates must be qualified dietitians registered with the HCPC with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach
