To support the transformation of Radiology and Neurophysiology services across the Northern Care Alliance, and the wider Greater Manchester Radiology Programme work, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking individual to join the Radiology and Neurophysiology team at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will support the Directorate team in the management of the Radiology and Neurophysiology portfolio to assist the Senior Directorate Manager and Clinical Services Manager, and work closely alongside the substantive Assistant Directorate Manager. In addition you will undertake wider context strategic work which will require a confident approach and excellent interpersonal skills.

You will need to be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and be able to demonstrate experience in managing large schemes ideally within an acute health care setting. An understanding of capacity and demand management is essential together with a commitment and drive to improving quality.

You will be responsible for assigned elements of operational management and forward planning of Radiology and Neurophysiology developments within one of the country’s largest non-teaching NHS Trusts. The Trust currently operates from four major Hospital sites in Oldham, North Manchester, Bury and Rochdale with a satellite service based at the Oldham Integrated Care Centre offering services to local GPs.   Pennine Acute Trust and Salford Royal Foundation Trust (SRFT) are working together under the leadership of Chief executive, Sir David Dalton as part of the Northern Care Alliance; a Group model where local NHS organisations share a governance framework to reduce variations in clinical practice, accelerate improvements in patient outcomes and also improve productivity. This provides exciting opportunities for collaborative working, particularly in Radiology and Neurophysiology, to maximise capacity / efficiency and raise quality.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate creative and innovative solutions to a variety of complex technical and logistical problems; someone who is self-motivated and can liaise with external stakeholders in pursuit of efficiency and service improvement, and someone with a passion for supporting the Directorate in driving the Greater Manchester and Northern Care Alliance agenda forward over the next 12 months.
