This is an excellent opportunity for Specialty Doctors to master diagnostic and management skills in one of the busiest hospitals in the Northwest. There is full support of allied services including 24 hour diagnostics, including laboratory services and radiology, with facilities for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Gamma Camera and Fluoroscopy.

We are the host Centre for MRCPCH Clinical Examination and we actively support our doctors through their MRCPCH exams and have a track record of high success rates among our specialty doctors and trainees. The trust is now accredited as University Teaching Hospital for Manchester Medical School and organises a number of undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes. There are specialist services for Paediatric Infectious Diseases and HIV, Paediatric Diabetes, Secondary Epilepsy and Tertiary Neurology Clinics, Neurodisability, Asthma and Allergy.

Candidates who are unable, for personal reasons, to work full time are eligible to apply and, if successful, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis in consultation with consultant colleagues.

The Job Description indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within the service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the Trust and meet members of the management team and other senior members of staff. Appointments can be made for a visit at any point prior to the date of interview.
