An opportunity has arisen for Staff Nurses within the Division of Medicine and Community Services.

The posts on offer are on Ward C5/C6 at North Manchester General Hospital. The unit has 21 beds in total -10 Male beds on Ward C5 and 11 Female on Ward C6. Both wards care for patients who are medically optimised and require robust discharge planning plus a Programmed Investigations Unit (PIU).

We are looking for motivated individuals to provide high quality patient care in the clinical environment within a medical ward setting which has an active part in the discharge planning process. The PIU is a day attenders area which specialises in Rheumatology, Endocrine, Haematology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Cardiology and Ortho geriatric treatments and investigations. The role is vitally important in an already established team of nurses through strong leadership, professional advice and clinical expertise enabling the best care, the best environment and best patient’s experience whilst delivering the Trust quality agenda.

This is a demanding post that requires a positive approach towards change and the ability to engage and be part of a team.

• RGN registration with demonstrated experience
• Be motivated and enthusiastic in developing management skills
• Excellent standards of care and a positive attitude to managing people
• Ability to communicate and work collaboratively within a wide range of disciplines
• Willing to learn through continual professional development and clinical skills.
