An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join the IT Data Centre Team.

You would be involved in the development, administration and senior support of the Trusts physical and virtual server estate and centralised storage solutions. This includes acting as the technical lead for a wide range of IT related projects across the Trust.

Our IT infrastructure is built on Microsoft server technologies including Server 2008/12, Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2013 and SQL 2008/12/16. A large number of these servers are on our VMware 5.5 virtual environment and attached to our NetApp centralised storage. Prior experience with some of these technologies would be advantageous.

Dedication and determination to follow technical solutions through to their successful conclusion is essential and a positive attitude towards delivering IT best practices. A friendly customer focused manner is important as well as an appreciation of the key role you play in the delivery of IT services to your clinical colleagues and the general public.

There is a requirement to participate in an out of hours on call rota which will result in additional on call payments. This fixed-term contract is initially planned for twelve months to assist with delivering IT projects.

If you are applying for this post as a secondment please ensure you have approval from your current line manager prior to applying.

In line with Agenda for Change, applicants new to the NHS are expected to start at the bottom of the pay band, for more information search 'Agenda For Change' in your search engine of choice.
