The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit 4 Consultant Radiologists with interests in Cross Sectional Body Imaging; radiologists with interests in imaging GI, GU, Thoracic and general Oncology, including Haematological Malignancy are particularly sought.

The posts are based at either The Royal Oldham Hospital or Fairfield General Hospitals, however subspecialty service opportunities may arise at other sites within the Trust. The post holders would join a Trust-wide team of 29 Consultant Radiologists.

The posts are offered at 10 PAs and include general radiology as well as significant sub specialist work. Temporary additional PAs are also available to support the demands of the service.

The Trust provides acute general hospital services for just under a million population of the North East of Greater Manchester and employs over 9000 multidisciplinary staff on four hospital sites, making it one of the largest Trusts in the UK. Despite its size, PAT is a friendly place to work and the Radiology Directorate enjoys excellent working relationships with clinical and management colleagues.

Pennine Acute Trust and Salford Royal Foundation Trust (SRFT) are working together under the leadership of Chief executive, Sir David Dalton as part of the Northern Care Alliance with a shared governance framework to reduce variations in clinical practice, accelerate improvements in patient outcomes and also improve productivity. This provides exciting opportunities for collaborative working, particularly in radiology, to maximise capacity/efficiency and raise quality.
