Applications are invited from suitable candidates to provide a range of secretarial, administrative and clerical services to the Physiotherapy Service. You will be part of a team of administrative staff with responsibility to provide general administrative support to the main Out-patient Physiotherapy Service and the Bury Integrated Pain Service.  Amongst other responsibilities, the role will involve typing clinic letters, preparing notes for clinics and dealing with patient queries.

You must have substantial administrative and secretarial experience including audio typing; a good knowledge of software programs/IT systems such as Excel, Word and Outlook; be able to work on your initiative and within a busy team environment. Experience of NHS systems and processes is desirable.

You will at times be acting as first point of contact to our services therefore excellent communication and customer care skills are essential. You should also be committed to team working; adaptable to the needs of the service; and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

In return for your skills and expertise we can offer you a variety of rewarding challenges, continued training and development and the opportunity to work within friendly and supportive teams.

The department is working towards a 7 day model of service delivery and as such you will be expected to be flexible in terms of working patterns including weekends, bank holidays and extra hours if necessary. You may also be required to work on other Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust sites.

We reserve the right to close the online vacancy when we are in receipt of sufficient applications. Should you wish to apply for this post you are advised to complete and return your application form as soon as possible.
