Bury and Rochdale Care Organisation is one of four Care organisations within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group.

Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary have come together to create a Care Organisation with a true focus on community based care. Innovative ways of delivering patient centered care used in our award winning Stroke Centre at Fairfield and the pioneering HEATT car service developed at Rochdale demonstrate that this care Organisation is one that provides a unique service for the surrounding population.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Ward Manager within Ward 24 at Fairfield General Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead a team on a twenty four bedded all-male medical and Diabetic/Endocrinology ward that has recently been upgraded and refurbished to a high clinical standard. Our Organisation is committed to doing right by our Dementia patients and this is one of few wards across the Trust where there is a dedicated relaxation room to support vulnerable patients and their families. It’s a space that provides calm and reminiscence therapy to aid recovery and an area that the team is extremely proud of

LEADING OUR NURSES THROUGH INNOVATION

We are looking for a dedicated, committed and reliable experienced registered nurse who is willing to lead and work together with the team but who is also self-motivated and can work independently when needed. This is a forward thinking team so you will need to be a resilient leader who can lead change and motivate staff at all levels.

We are seeking a leader who can support and continue to build a confident, high quality and caring team who are experts in their field. You will be responsible for championing and guiding a diverse range of nursing staff whilst working alongside other multi-disciplinary colleagues.

You will be a professional who truly understands the need for care, consideration and respect for our patients but can also lead by example and apply these qualities to your team members. Our patients and their families require someone with compassion and the ability to empathize with difficult situations and be willing to go the extra mile to do what’s right by them.
